Option: SecNumCloud
NetExplorer is participating in the SecNumCloud qualification
To ensure a trusted, sovereign cloud, NetExplorer has begun the SecNumCloud certification process, the most rigorous security standard defined by ANSSI. While we await our own certification, we are now offering a hosting infrastructure that is already SecNumCloud-certified, operated by Dassault Systèmes.
What is the SecNumCloud certification?
A security framework developed by ANSSI
The SecNumCloud certification is issued by ANSSI. It certifies that a cloud service meets very high standards in terms of security, sovereignty, and data protection.
The SecNumCloud certification is part of the national cybersecurity strategy aimed at ensuring the digital sovereignty of French organizations.
Strict requirements for protecting sensitive data
In particular, it ensures that:
A benchmark standard for public and sensitive entities
SecNumCloud is now considered the most stringent standard established by the French government for cloud service providers, particularly those serving public organizations, operators of vital importance (OIV), and companies that handle sensitive data.
The migration from NetExplorer to SecNumCloud
NetExplorer is currently undergoing the SecNumCloud certification process with ANSSI and has reached the first milestone in this structured process. This process, which consists of several rigorous stages, reflects our commitment to achieving the highest level of security and data sovereignty for our clients’ data.
A technical and regulatory framework that already meets high standards
As of today, our platform is built on a solid technical and regulatory foundation:
An environment ready to meet SecNumCloud requirements
For organizations that need SecNumCloud compliance immediately, NetExplorer offers an architecture that allows data to be hosted on an infrastructure that is already SecNumCloud-certified, operated by Dassault Systèmes.
This approach allows you to immediately benefit from hosting that complies with SecNumCloud requirements, while leveraging the NetExplorer application environment, which is recognized for its ease of use and high level of security.

Why is SecNumCloud becoming a must-have?
As cloud usage and cyber threats continue to evolve, SecNumCloud is gradually establishing itself as an essential standard.
A matter of data sovereignty
Cloud services are increasingly being adopted by businesses. However, some cloud solutions host their platforms and data on servers located outside France, which are not subject to French or European data protection laws.
Stricter regulatory requirements
National and European regulations on cybersecurity and data protection are becoming increasingly stringent, particularly with the GDPR and sector-specific requirements. The SecNumCloud certification is part of this trend, imposing high standards for security, traceability, and access management.
A response to the rise of cyber threats
Threats related to data theft have skyrocketed in recent years with the emergence of new forms of cyberattacks, such as ransomware and repeated data breaches. Companies must ensure a high level of security for their sensitive data. SecNumCloud enforces strict cybersecurity measures, reducing the risk of data breaches, leaks, or tampering.
You retain control over your files, even after they are published.
A key criterion in requests for proposals
Data security and sovereignty have become key criteria in cloud-related tenders. Organizations, particularly those in the public and sensitive sectors, require solutions capable of ensuring a high level of data protection, traceability, and control.
In this context, certification frameworks such as the SecNumCloud certification are gradually establishing themselves as industry standards for evaluating cloud providers.
Growing adoption in sensitive sectors
Government agencies, operators of critical infrastructure (OCI), and sensitive sectors are gradually adopting SecNumCloud as the industry standard. This trend is accelerating its widespread adoption across the entire market.
In this context, choosing a provider committed to the SecNumCloud initiative becomes a strategic consideration.

What is SecNumCloud?
The SecNumCloud certification is issued by ANSSI and guarantees that a cloud service meets high standards for security, sovereignty, and data protection. In particular, it requires strict access controls, protection against extraterritorial laws, and data hosting within European jurisdiction.
Who provides SecNumCloud?
The SecNumCloud certification is issued by ANSSI (the French National Cybersecurity Agency) following a thorough audit of the service provider and its infrastructure.
Is NetExplorer SecNumCloud-certified?
NetExplorer has not yet been certified as a SecNumCloud provider. The company is currently undergoing the certification process with ANSSI. At the same time, NetExplorer offers a secure, sovereign solution based on infrastructure managed in France and recognized certifications such as ISO 27001 and HDS.
Can we use a solution that is not SecNumCloud-certified?
It is possible to use a SecNumCloud solution that has not been certified, provided it meets the security and compliance requirements specific to the organization or its industry. Not all organizations are required to obtain certification. Many companies prefer sovereign and secure solutions tailored to their needs, while keeping pace with evolving standards such as SecNumCloud.
What is the difference between SecNumCloud and ISO 27001?
ISO 27001 is an international standard that certifies the implementation of an information security management system. It is based on best practices in risk management.
The SecNumCloud certification, issued by ANSSI, goes a step further. It imposes specific requirements for the cloud, particularly regarding data sovereignty, protection against extraterritorial laws, and access security.
In summary, ISO 27001 provides a foundation for security, while SecNumCloud represents a higher level of requirements for sensitive cloud services.
Is SecNumCloud mandatory?
The SecNumCloud certification is not mandatory in most cases.
However, it may be required for certain organizations, particularly in the public sector, for operators of vital importance (OVIs), or in the context of tenders that include high security requirements.
Even when not required, SecNumCloud is gradually establishing itself as a benchmark standard for assessing the security and sovereignty of cloud solutions.
